About the event
EDDS Institute joins techUK's EdTech, AI & Trust in Education conversation
EDDS Institute is pleased to be joining techUK's AI & Trust event on Friday 19 June, bringing together policymakers, educators, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss one of the most pressing questions facing education today: how can schools trust EdTech and AI systems?
The morning will begin with Fay Skevington from the Department for Education, who will introduce the latest work on the AI Sovereign Benchmarks. This will be followed by a panel discussion exploring trust, accountability, and assurance in educational AI, including the challenges schools face and the emerging approaches being developed to address them.
As part of the discussion, EDDS Institute will present its advanced work on audit risk assessment methodology and highlight how independent evaluation, governance and assurance mechanisms can support the implementation and enforcement of standards for educational technology and AI systems.
