We are proud to announce that EDDS Institute is participating as a Fellow in the 18th ASEFClassNet Faculty Collaboration Programme, hosted by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). This prestigious opportunity places EDDS among a select network of educators, researchers, and academics from across 51 countries in Asia and Europe.

About ASEF & the ClassNet Initiative
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Singapore, ASEF is an intergovernmental, not-for-profit organisation that connects civil society and governments across Asia and Europe. It fosters peer-to-peer learning, policy dialogue, and intercultural exchange, particularly in education, through initiatives like the ASEFClassNet programme. Learn more at www.ASEF.org.
Since 1998, ASEFClassNet has been the only teacher and faculty network of its kind, actively engaging educators from both regions in meaningful collaborations. The 18th edition (ASEFClassNet18) is centred on a theme that is highly relevant to the future of global education:
Theme: “Effective, Inclusive and Ethical AI in Education (AIED) Design”Targeted SDG: SDG 4 – Quality Education
EDDS at the Forefront of Responsible AI in Education
As a Fellow in ASEFClassNet18, EDDS Institute will contribute to the global dialogue on AI in Education (AIED), focusing on three key aspects:
Effectiveness: Evaluating AI's practical impact and safety in classrooms
Inclusion: Addressing potential biases and ensuring equitable access to AI tools
Ethics: Emphasising transparency, data privacy, and responsible implementation
This year’s programme also features the opportunity to co-author a chapter in a forthcoming academic publication titled AI and Sustainable Development, to be published by Springer in collaboration with the United Nations University (UNU).
Through this contribution, EDDS will help shape forward-looking, impactful strategies for integrating AI in teacher education worldwide-with EDDS's focal contribution on governing and oversight for AI systems in the classroom.
This initiative not only strengthens our research and pedagogical outlook at EDDS but also amplifies our commitment to shaping ethical and inclusive digital education frameworks. We look forward to this meaningful engagement and are excited about the contributions EDDS will bring to this global conversation on AI in education.
